Fishies stick to the game plan

Mark Rayner - Daily Liberal

Dubbo CYMS halfback Alex Bonham said staying calm and sticking to their game plan was the catalyst for their convincing 46-14 win against Macquarie.

What shaped up as a close affair became very one-sided 25 minutes into the match when CYMS found their attacking rhythm.

Bonham said they expected Macquarie to come out firing but they stuck to their plan and were able to find their opponents’ weaknesses.

Quick tries midway through the half exposed the Raiders and from there, the Fishies’ quick players were able to find gaps in the defence and rack up the points.

It cemented CYMS’ place at the top of the Group 11 ladder, a win clear of Forbes, Parkes and Nyngan.
